The Top Hinged Gravity Floating Rear Frame: Take a look at this unique design we did for a customer that needed a double purposed type Transfer Trailer they wanted to use it as a dry van and a transfer trailer with a top hinge rear frame with swing doors within the frame for discharge of material when mounted on a tipper. The top hinged gravity floating self power opening and closing rear frame gate with swing doors with in the rear frame that can be discharged two ways by swinging open the top hinged rear frame gate with swing doors with in the rear frame or by opening the swing doors within the rear frame for dock discharge. 1.)When used as a transfer trailer the method used to discharge the material is to unlock the bottom chain and ratchet locking system on both sides of the top hinged rear frame gate with swing doors with in the rear frame so it is free to open from either the contents pressing against it or by gravity. The trailer is mounted on a tipper and raised until the floor of the body is tilted steeply enough that the contents of the trailer slide rearward and downward against the unlatched top hinged rear frame gate with doors with in the rear frame which then swings open as required from the pressure of the sliding contents and allows the contents to slide out of the trailer. 2.)When used as a dry van the method used to discharge the material from this trailer is to open the swing doors and position the rear of the trailer at a loading dock and discharge the conventional method.
